LCFAITH: Faith Worth Living |
|
This course [(FWL), Faith Worth Living] is about making sense of the relevance of faith in today’s world. The relevance of faith is the fundamental issue this course tries to resolve. It introduces the students to different faith expressions (faith as reasonable; faith as personal experience; faith as social transformation; faith as dialogue with the religious “other”) and underlines that all of these are necessary for a wholistic faith that is responsive to crucial life issues. The different contexts (i.e. social, cultural, political, religious and philosophical) which resulted to several faith expressions and their potential to address social concerns affecting human beings and the whole of creation will be discussed in the light of the Catholic Social Teachings and Inter-faith Dialogue being advocated.
